Read, O Prophet, in the Name of your Lord Who created
Created humans from a clinging clot
Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous
Who taught by the pen
Taught humanity what they knew not
Most certainly, one exceeds all bounds
Once they think they are self-sufficient.
But surely to your Lord is the return of all

Surely humanity is in grave loss,
Except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance.
Narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar, a man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and asked,
"When is the Hour?"
The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied,
"What have you prepared for it?"

O believers! Obey Allah and His Messenger and do not turn away from him while you hear his call.
Do not be like those who say, “We hear,” but in fact they are not listening.
Indeed, the worst of all beings in the sight of Allah are the willfully deaf and dumb, who do not understand.
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ وَلَا تَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ وَأَنتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ
وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَهُمْ لَا يَسْمَعُونَ
إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَآبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلْبُكْمُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
GROWTH MINDSET

When Allah’s ultimate help comes and the victory over Mecca is achieved and you O Prophet see the people embracing Allah’s Way in crowds, then glorify the praises of your Lord and seek His forgiveness, for certainly He is ever Accepting of Repentance.
إِذَا جَآءَ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْفَتْحُ
وَرَأَيْتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِى دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًۭا
فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابًۢا ٣
JESUS IN THE QURAN

He replied, “So will it be! Your Lord says, ‘It is easy for Me. And so will We make him a sign for humanity and a mercy from Us. It is a matter already decreed.” [19:21]
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌۭ ۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًۭا مَّقْضِيًّۭا
So she pointed to the baby. They exclaimed, “How can we talk to someone who is an infant in the cradle?” [19:29]
فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا۟ كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّۭا
Jesus declared, “I am truly a servant of Allah. He has destined me to be given the Scripture and to be a prophet. [19:30]
قَالَ إِنِّى عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ ءَاتَىٰنِىَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَجَعَلَنِى نَبِيًّۭا
VISIONARIES

“Verily, Allah has prescribed excellence in everything..”
Indeed, those men and women who give in charity and lend to Allah a good loan will have it multiplied for them, and they will have an honourable reward. [57:18]

A FAMILY OF EMAAN

As for those who believe and whose descendants follow them in faith, We will elevate their descendants to their rank, never discounting anything of the reward of their deeds. Every person will reap only what they sowed. [52:21]
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَـٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَـٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌۭ
The believers are but one brotherhood, so make peace between your brothers. And be mindful of Allah so you may be shown mercy. [49:10]
إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌۭ فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ ۚ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
SEEKING CLOSENESS TO ALLAH

At the time of the Fajr prayer the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked Bilal, "Tell me of the best deed you did after embracing Islam, for I heard your footsteps in front of me in Paradise." Bilal replied, "I did not do anything worth mentioning except that whenever I performed ablution during the day or night, I prayed after that ablution as much as it was written for me."

STRENGTH IN UNITY

وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِحَبْلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا۟ ۚ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَآءًۭ فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِۦٓ إِخْوَٰنًۭا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
And hold firmly to the rope of Allah and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you [by His grace] became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to you, so that you may be rightly guided.

وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌۭ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
Let there be a group among you who call others to goodness, encourage what is good, and forbid what is evil, it is they who will be successful.

THE CALAMITY

Surah Al-Qari'ah [Qur'an 101] The Striking Disaster! What is the Striking Disaster? And what will make you realize what the Striking Disaster is? ˹It is˺ the Day people will be like scattered moths, and the mountains will be like carded wool. So as for those whose scale is heavy ˹with good deeds˺, they will be in a life of bliss. And as for those whose scale is light, their home will be the abyss. And what will make you realize what that is? ˹It is˺ a scorching Fire.
ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ١ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ٢ وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ٣ يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ ٤ وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ ٥ فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ٦ فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ ٧ وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ٨ فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ ٩ وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ ١٠ نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ ١١
THE HONOUR OF THE MUSLIM

Some people asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), "Whose Islam is the best? i.e. (Who is a very good Muslim)?" He replied, "One who avoids harming the Muslims with his tongue and hands." [Bukhari]

The Prophet said, "Allah says: 'I am just as My slave thinks I am, and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they;
”…and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him;
…and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and
if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running."

AN ABUNDANCE OF GOODNESS

إِنَّآ أَعْطَيْنَـٰكَ ٱلْكَوْثَرَ
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنْحَرْ
إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ ٱلْأَبْتَرُ
Indeed, We have granted you ˹O Prophet˺ abundant goodness.
So pray and sacrifice to your Lord ˹alone˺.
Only the one who hates you is truly cut off ˹from any goodness˺.

THE TRUE BELIEVERS

إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْتَابُوا۟ وَجَـٰهَدُوا۟ بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصَّـٰدِقُونَ ١٥
The ˹true˺ believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger—never doubting—and strive with their wealth and their lives in the cause of Allah. They are the ones true in faith.

عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: سَمِعْت رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم يَقُولُ:
بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ: شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ، وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ، وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ.
